Tutoring

We are committed to providing resources that make it easy to get help when you need it.

We know you’re smart, but sometimes you need clarification or another way of looking at the problem. We’re here to help you succeed and will help find the assistance you need.

Center for Academic Resources in Engineering (CARE)

Located on the 4th floor of Grainger Engineering Library, CARE is the primary resource for academic assistance. You’ll find tutoring, peer advising, workshops, and much more.

Office Hours

All professors and teaching assistants host office hours and just wait for you to come by to discuss the course.

Private Tutors

Many students are willing to tutor for a small fee. Some departments will keep a list of students willing to tutor. Or, look for signs posted in buildings where classes are located to find a tutor for a specific class.

Peer Advising

There are numerous engineering departments and organizations that provide peer advising and mentoring programs. Participation in such programs is a great opportunity to receive advice from other students in your major who have had similar questions. Get the inside scoop regarding courses, an appropriate course load, professors, and career opportunities.
