On-Campus Engineering Events

Dean’s Reception for Incoming International Students & Families

Join the Dean for a reception welcoming international students and their families. The reception will give individuals an opportunity to meet members of the College of Engineering’s leadership team as well as to learn about campus resources available to both parents and students.

FreshmanFest!

Each fall, the Dean welcomes our new students. The event is hosted on the Bardeen Quad and includes a traditional cookout, inflatables, music, and much more.

Engineering Expo Alumni Reception

Engineering at Illinois Alumni attending the fall or spring Engineering Expo are welcomed back by our Engineering Student Alumni Ambassadors with this informal opportunity to relax and reconnect.

Homecoming Party

Engineering at Illinois Alumni join together to celebrate Homecoming, a tradition at Illinois for over 100 years. 

Engineering Convergence – Chicago

February (on-campus), Spring Break (Chicago)
Join Engineering at Illinois for Engineering Convergence in Schaumburg, Illinois on March 18. This dinner and discussion provides an opportunity for engineering students and alumni to interact, share information and career advice, and build networks in an informal, non-recruiting setting.

Alumni Welcome Center at Engineering Open House

Engineering Open House is the largest student run event at the University of Illinois. Each year, Engineering Open House serves as a showcase that opens the engineering campus to more than 20,000 visitors. The event is free and fun for all ages.

Sparking Connections Alumni Reception

Please join us for this private reception for EOH alumni, alumni judges, the EOH 2013 Student Committee and EOH Corporate Participants. This is an annual event sponsored by the Engineering at Illinois Office of Advancement to encourage and facilitate relationships among students and alumni involved in EOH. Following the reception, you are invited to stay and enjoy the EOH Featured Presentation.

Dean’s International Student Graduation Reception

Join the dean for a reception honoring BS, MS and PhD international graduates and their families.

Senior Sunday

Each spring, the Sunday before Commencement, the Dean celebrates with our graduating class. The Carnival Celebration features music, carnival food, carnival games & a free t-shirt for all seniors.
