How do I request an On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) Visit?
During regular business hours, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., you can call our office at 217/333-1960 and a staff member will be glad to assist you. If it is more convenient, you can request an OCR visit online at http://engineering.illinois.edu/careers. If you are not currently a registered employer, you will need to first register your company. There is no fee for this service. Once registered, you will find a link on the Employer homepage that reads "Request On-Campus Interviews Date." Complete this form and we will follow-up to confirm your dates and the details of your visit.
Is there a fee to recruit in the College of Engineering or to use your on-campus interview facilities?
No, there is no fee to register with our office, to use the College's interview facilities, or to post employment opportunities for current students or alumni. Online registration is available at http://engineering.illinois.edu/careers.
Where is your office located?
The ECS office is in the Digital Computer Laboratory (DCL), located directly north of Grainger Engineering Library at 1304 W. Springfield Avenue, Urbana. Where can I park when I visit campus?
Visitor parking is available at metered spaces throughout campus. Most meters near DCL and Engineering Career Services are 10-hour meters. The rate per hour is 75 cents. University of Illinois Daily Use Meter Permits are available from Engineering Career Services for $10 each, and may be purchased at recruiter check-in.
These permits are for meters located in University parking lots or for parking meters designated as University of Illinois; they are not valid at City of Urbana or City of Champaign parking meters. With three (3) business days' notice, Engineering Career Services can reserve and bag a metered space for you for a $15 fee. (Note: Corporate Partners may be eligible for free reserved parking.) Reservations for parking can be made online with a major credit card at http://my.engr.illinois.edu/ecs/parking.
How do I post jobs (full-time, summer internships, semester internship, co-ops) for College of Engineering students or alumni?
Employers may post positions at no cost directly online at http://engineering.illinois.edu/careers or may email the information to Engineering Career Services to be posted. To email a job posting, please forward it to Kathy Darr, Sr. Recruiting Coordinator.
How do I schedule a company presentation?
You can request a company presentation online at http://engineering.illinois.edu/careers. If you are not currently a registered employer, you will need to first register your company. There is no fee for registering. Once registered, you will find a link on the Employer Home Page that reads "Schedule Company Info Session." Complete this form and we will follow-up to confirm your dates and the details of your visit.
Most presentations are held in Illini Union conference rooms. Catering and AV equipment are available at an additional charge. If you schedule a company presentation through another campus office or at a non-campus facility, please provide ECS with the details so we can post the information online and help promote your event to students.
Where are College of Engineering student interviews held?
Engineering Career Services provides 39 dedicated interview rooms in 3300 Digital Computer Lab (DCL) adjacent to its office in Suite 3270 DCL. The street address for DCL is 1304 W. Springfield Avenue, Urbana. Recruiters must check in with ECS before the first interview.
