Program of the Week: Pisa, Italy, and Beijing, China. The International Programs in Engineering Office wants to let you know about the "Program of the Week!" The IPENG programs in Pisa, Italy, allow students to earn credit by spending 4 or 6 weeks studying Energy Systems with a University of Illinois faculty member, and taking language classes with a University of Pisa faculty member, all at the University of Pisa! The 6-week program is an extension of the 4-week program. The additional two weeks include more in-depth language training.
The IPENG Program in Beijing, China, is quite different and allows students to ear 6 hours of Humanities and Social Sciences credit by spending 7 weeks taking language and culture classes at the Tsinghua University. In addition to taking classes, students are also able to visit companies as well as take planned, weekly excursions to some of Beijing's most famous areas.

Are you putting everything off until the last minute? Have you pulled a lot of all-nighters already this semester? Are you having trouble summoning the motivation to do your work? Are you wondering why? Then come to the Overcoming Procrastination Workshop. During this program we will explore the deeper feelings and thoughts that may lead to procrastination. We will also dispel the myths and address the true costs and consequences of procrastinating. Finally, mental and concrete strategies for overcoming procrastination will be provided. This workshop is presented by Counseling Center Paraprofessionals, students helping students, and the Counseling Center at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

Every year the College of Engineering sponsors the UIUC Regional LEGO Tournament and we are in need of volunteers to make sure it runs smoothly. This is a great way to get in your volunteer hours and inspire youth to get interested in engineering.

On May 20-22, 2010, the UIUC will be hosting the Science Olympiad National Tournament. This event brings students from all 50 states here to participate in an Olympic-like competition for science. At this year's national tournament, NCSA and TeraGrid will test a new computational science trial event, which is new to the SONT program. We will need 400-500 on site volunteers for this event.
