More than 400 assistant, associate, and full professors make up the College of Engineering faculty. Since it is the faculty who teach undergraduate and graduate students, conduct and oversee research programs, and reach out to the private and corporate sectors of society, its members constitute a primary asset for Engineering at Illinois. Our distinguished faculty includes more than 50 current and emeritus members of the National Academy of Engineering and National Academy of Science, a Nobel Laureate, a recipient of the National Medal of Science, and a recipient of the National Medal of Technology.
Engineering at Illinois is expanding and strengthening expertise in key areas of engineering research and education that are of national and global significance. The 2012 New Faculty brochure introduces 27 individuals who will extend the legacy that is Engineering at Illinois!
