Vice President - General Manager, Supply Chain Management and Operations
Boeing Commercial Airplanes

BS Aerospace Engineering '86

Stan Deal is vice president and general manager of Supply Chain Management and Operations for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Appointed to this position in August 2011, he is responsible for the overall leadership of Boeing Commercial Airplanes Supplier Management, Fabrication and Propulsion Systems in addition to the Quality functional organization.

Before assuming his current position, Deal was vice president and general manager of the Boeing Commercial Airplanes Supplier Management organization. In that role, he was responsible for the overall strategy, contracting, daily management and development of the Boeing Commercial Airplanes supply chain, which supports the manufacture and service of all Boeing commercial airplanes.

Deal has also served as vice president of Asia Pacific Sales for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, a position he assumed in November 2006. In that role, he was responsible for sales in Japan, Korea, Singapore, Australia, Thailand, New Zealand, Vietnam, Hawaii and other Pacific Island markets.

In other key roles at Boeing, Deal helped launch Connexion by Boeing, serving as vice president of Global Network Sales for the in-flight Internet business and leading sales activities in airline and executive services markets worldwide. He left the organization to serve as vice president of Sales and Marketing Operations for Boeing Commercial Airplanes but later returned to Connexion to lead Boeing's orderly exit from the in-flight internet business. As part of that assignment, he played a strategic role in managing the supply chain and partnerships throughout the shutdown.

During his Boeing career, Deal has also led integrated product teams for propulsion systems and structures on the 717 program and served as Japan Airlines program manager on the MD-11 program.

Before joining the company, Deal served as vice president and general manager for Fairchild Aerospace, where he was responsible for many commercial airliner programs, in addition to business strategy and the supply chain. Under his leadership, Fairchild successfully developed and introduced the 328 jet aircraft.

A native of Illinois, Deal holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois and a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University.
