This course is an introduction to the structure of programming languages and their implementation. Topics include basic language design principles, abstract data types, functional languages, type systems, and object-oriented languages. The basics of lexing, parsing, syntax-directed translation, semantic analysis, and code generation are considered. *Please note: Students will have the option of joining this class live and/or viewing the recording.
