Technology Entrepreneur Center (TEC)
The Technology Entrepreneur Center (TEC) provides opportunities through education, experiences, and resources for students and faculty to become leaders in innovation and entrepreneurship at Illinois and throughout their careers. TEC continues to inspire its students to become the next generation of world-changing visionaries, leaders and entrepreneurs. This is accomplished through its courses, venture and product competitions, workshops, and other curricular and extra-curricular events that expose students to the process of technology innovation and market adoption.
In addition to on-campus courses, the Center offers online courses for off-campus individuals who want to understand business issues in engineering, as well as how new technology-based businesses are created and managed. By taking a combination of courses, off-campus students can earn certificates in Strategic Technology Management or Business Management for Engineers.
