Sundari Mitra is Chief Incubation Officer and Corporate Vice President at Intel Corporation. She currently leads the Incubation and Disruptive Innovation (IDI) group with a mission to identify and incubate disruptive technologies and scale ventures into the next $10+ billion business for Intel. Prior to this role, Sundari was the Corporate Vice President, General Manager of the IP Engineering Group (IPG) at Intel. At IPG, she led a 5,000-person global team developing 100+ IPs across 10 product lines that powered ~$75 billion of Intel’s revenue in Data Center, Client, FPGA, Networking, and Industrial segments.

Sundari began her career at Intel in the late 1980s as a chip designer on the Intel 286. Subsequently, she joined Sun Microsystems, where she drove several UltraSPARC processors from inception to production. After leaving Sun Microsystems in 2004, she took the entrepreneurial plunge and went on to launch two successful tech companies. Her first startup, Prism Circuits, created high-speed mixed-signal PHYs and controllers. Founded in 2006, Prism quickly generated multimillion-dollar revenues and was acquired by MoSys in 2009. At MoSys, she was the executive vice president of engineering, where she delivered serial memory SoCs. In 2011, she founded NetSpeed Systems. As its CEO, she built NetSpeed into a global company that transformed SoC design for world-leading semiconductor companies. NetSpeed was acquired by Intel in 2018.

She is an author of 25 patents and recipient of several awards, including the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Department of Electric and Computer Engineering in 2017. Throughout her career, Sundari has placed special importance on mentoring others, particularly women in technology and technology entrepreneurs. At Intel, she continues to champion mentorship, collaborative engagement, and continuous innovation, while striving to inspire her team and others to give their very best.
